MARKET GOAT  SALE

2018 BUYERS 

The 5th Annual Frederick County Fair Market Goat Sale was held on Friday August 3, 2018.

Forty-two Goats totaling 3,146 pounds were sold at a gross income of $21,977.25.  The average price was $6.99 per pound.

The Frederick County Fair Association and the youth of 4-H and FFA deeply appreciate the continuing support of the many individuals and businesses who expressed their interest in the youth of our community.

Grand Champion Market Goat– Purchased by Rockingam Coop/Kalbach Feed for $13.25/lb.

The 38th Annual Frederick County Fair Market Hog Sale was held on Friday, August 3, 2018.

Fifty-six hogs totaling 13,658 pounds were sold at a gross income of $48.522.80.  The average price was $3.55 per pound.

The Frederick County Fair Association and the youth of 4-H and FFA deeply appreciate the continuing support of the many individuals and businesses who expressed their interest in the youth of our community.

The 37th Annual Frederick County Fair Market Lamb Sale was held on Friday August 3, 2018.

Fifty-eight Lambs totaling 6,878 pounds were sold at a gross income of $33,711.00.  The average price was $4.90 per pound.

37th Annual Tiny Miss Frederick County Fair Pageant Print E-mail

37th Annual Tiny Miss Frederick County Fair Pageant

Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 6:00PM

South Lawn Stage

Contestant Requirements:

Tiny Miss Contestants Must:

1. Reside in Frederick County or the City of Winchester. Proof of Residency required: copy of utility bill with parent’s name and address.

2. Be females, never married, and without children.

3. Be between the ages of 4-6. Contestants must be at least 4 years of age by the time of the Tiny Miss Frederick County Fair pageant. Copy of Birth Certificate Required.

4. Not engage or have engaged in any activities that are characterized as dishonest, immoral, or indecent. This includes social media and may be monitored by Directors. Any activities deemed inappropriate by Directors may result in the removal of the title or the inability to compete in the Scholarship pageant. If the title is removed for any reason, the first runner-up will then assume responsibilities and duties as assigned.

5. Pay sponsorship fee of $40.00. This fee is non-refundable and can be paid via cash or certified check payable to the Frederick County Fair.

6. Remain backstage without assistance from family or friends. There will be no one outside of pageant personnel and volunteers allowed backstage during rehearsal or the pageant. If there are any specific details or concerns that the pageant staff and/or volunteers need to know, please inform Director(s) of such at rehearsal. 

In participating in the Tiny Miss Frederick County Fair Pageant, contestants agree to the following if they are crowned the new Tiny Miss Frederick County Fair.

1.  Attend and represent herself as an ambassador of the Fair three (3)  nights during the week. Nights to be chosen by Director(s).

2. Represent the Frederick County Fair in parades and at appearances throughout her year-long reign as advised by Director(s).

3. If six (6) years old, due to regulations set by the Apple Blossom Festival, represent the Frederick County Fair by riding in the Apple Blossom Grand Feature Parade.

4. Gain permission from Director(s) and Frederick County Fair Association before participating in any event as a representative of the Frederick County Fair. Additional entries and participation in other pageants must not interfere with the responsibilities set forth herein as Tiny Miss Frederick County Fair.

5. Crown the new queen at the 2019 Tiny Miss Frederick County Fair Pageant. 

Areas of Competition:

Contestants will be judged on a point system, based upon personality, speaking ability, and overall appearance in the following areas:

1. Sunday Best Attire. *no pageant dresses or tea length dresses/gowns. Natural with no makeup of any kind.

2. On-Stage Question

3. Optional Photogenic competition. Each contestant may enter up to two (2) photos. Each photo entry is $10.00. All photos must be received by rehearsal. 

 

Awards Information

The Following will be Awarded:

●       First, second, third, and fourth runner-up awards, in addition to crowning the new Tiny Miss Frederick County Fair.

●       People’s Choice Award-winner will receive half of the monies taken in by votes at the pageant in addition to a trophy/medal.

●       Photogenic

Important Details/Dates:

The first twenty-five (25) contestants to submit their applications, with all necessary documents and sponsor fee, will be entered into the Tiny Miss Frederick County Fair Pageant.

Registration                                         June 10, 2018 from 2:00PM-4:00PM at the Fair Office

Application Deadline/Registration     June 17, 2018 from 2:00PM-4:00PM at the Fair Office

Mandatory Rehearsal                          July 28, 2018 at 6:00PM on the South Lawn Stage

Pageant                                               July 29, 2018 at 6:00PM on the South Lawn Stage
